8th grade- You have a test coming up on Tuesday March 29th.

Friday we will dedicate the whole day to review and working on your study
guide.

Monday Gameday. If you need extra help after school I will be avaiable
Monday after 3:00pm. I dedicated an entire day on Friday and Monday
for review to replace the fact I am not available right after school
the day before the test.

7th- Worksheet and guided questions on Myths

7th grade- Your project will be due on Monday. As it says in your timeline your homework for this weekend is to edit all parts and to add transitional sentences.

Add transitional sentences to parts 2,3,4. Making it a three paragraph essay.

Please put together your project neatly in the order of the parts (part one first and so on).

8th grade

For homework answer the following question. Be sure to type it, and it should be at least 7 sentences long. As always I want you to not only answer the question, but explain your answer as well.

Muhammad was said to be illiterate. Why would his being illiterate be important or critical to the religion of Islam?

Think about our discussion today, and how we talked about the importance of why the Qur’an must not be translated. Remember don’t just give me an answer. Tell me why.


7th grade

Today was a surprise day in the computer lab. Hopefully you researched Part 5 and got most of it done. Tonight’s homework is to work on Part 5, but if you finished that today in class start on your Historical Fiction. Remember to keep looking at your timeline, and use the organizer as well.
I will be here afterschool on Thursday if you need extra help.

7th grade-

We are now back on track for our timeline. Be sure to look at it for the homework, and up coming deadlines. Tuesday's homework is to finish your battle map. If you have done so already please feel free to work ahead on your third paragraph which is part four.


8th grade-

Read and answer the questions on your So, What's the Deal With Jihad Handout. Complete the five pillar worksheet from class.
Be ready to discuss these handouts in class.

8th grade- Arabian Geography story due on Monday. Don't forget to look at the rubric.

7th grade- Work on part 3, which is your second paragraph. Remember you no longer have a quiz coming up, but you will be peer editing on Tuesday so come ready with your rough drafts and organizer.

8th grade- Work on your Arabian Geography Book. Due Monday.

8th grade- No homework!

7th grade- Find a Greek name, one from your assigned city-state. Don't just make one up but find an actual person who is from your city-state, and write a couple sentences about them on the back of your name card. Remember on the front put the Greek name. On the back your name and the three sentences. Name game begins Monday.

E- You have the above homework but you also must decide which battle you would like to research. Rank them in case you do not get your first pick, you can try for the second pic. The battles you are going to choose from are on the Timeline handout given to you during class.

Tests have been sent home.
Students will have a map quiz on Tues (C,D,F) and E on Wed.
A quiz on this unit will be given Friday of next week.
I will be available Thursday for any needed extra help.
Monday students will be assigned a large project. Be on the look out for the handout with the time-line and details.

8th grade

Students will be Tested on Friday. Study guides will be given on Wed. and students will have all of class to work on them. Thursday during class we will review the test. Any extra help needed will be available Wed. or Thurs. afterschool. The study guide will be due Thursday for the extra 5 bonus points.
